How do you share data with finance systems?
Kudos offers real time integration to trial balance with a number of finance systems or a more basic data file transfer.

Can we get Retail Gift Aid on sales to recycling merchants?
Retail gift aid on rags is supported by an intuitive process based on the Kudos touch screens to aggregate rags into batches. The sales can take the form of credit sales to the rag merchants, which are then managed centrally on the browser head office. RGA is claimed on payment allocation, not tax point of sale as approved by HMRC.

Do you provide the POS hardware?
We provide high quality hardware from trusted partners to ensure resilience and excellent maintenance services for your shop team. We also implement software onto existing hardware to help retailers maximise the lifespan of their investment.

Do you provide hardware and software support?
Yes. Software support is in-house and, in the UK, and EPOS hardware support is next business day.

Do you support online trading?
Yes. You can integrate stock control, sales, and retail gift aid across your retail network both instore and online.

Do you integrate electronic payments?
Yes. Full integration for chip and pin, contactless, Apple and Android pay.

How do you manage software and hardware changes mid contract? e.g. if a shop were to close and hardware/software no longer required)
As the instore software is subscription based, if a store closed you would simply stop paying for the subscription for that licence. Hardware that’s no longer required can have a new home found, we often act as an informal broker for customers with hardware to sell and buy but we can’t guarantee the ability to sell hardware on. We can provide details of how hardware can best be disposed of.

Where are your team and your hosting services based?
Our team are all in the UK, with our head office in the South West and remote workers across the UK. Data is hosted in London with a backup protocol in place in Reading.

What coding language is the Kudos program written in?
The Kudos program is written in Embarcadero Delphi and Microsoft C#. The database is Microsoft SQL Server. The other technologies we use are Xamarin, Blazor, .NET Core, Web API, XML, JSON, JavaScript.
