St Oswald’s Hospice chooses Kudos to deliver new, user-friendly, efficient retail EPOS solution.
Kudos & Opayo transform payment process for Outstanding Charity Retailer of the Year.
Kudos is delighted to announce that St Oswald’s Hospice selected Kudos and its trusted partner Opayo to deliver their new, user-friendly, efficient retail EPOS solution. The hospice selected Kudos and Opayo to deliver the winning formula and the teams worked together seamlessly to deliver a full, modern payment solution, with guaranteed uptime and no loss of connection, thanks to the integrated card reader.
St Oswald’s Hospice is an award-winning UK charity with a network of 25 charity shops. Its stores previously ran on antiquated tills with handwritten stickers for Gift Aid and standalone card machines, which volunteers were nervous to use. The charity needed to simplify the payment process for its team of 500 shop volunteers and make the experience more streamlined for customers.
The Kudos and Opayo solution had an immediate impact on trading with cashing-up time reduced by 50% and new automated Retail Gift Aid, which removed the need for manual inputting. In addition, instant access to sales data, via Kudos, vastly improved decision making.
Charlotte Charlton, Retail Operations Manager, St Oswald’s Hospice said, ‘It’s been a huge success; we picked the right solution and the right providers…For volunteers, it’s intuitive, user friendly and removed the barriers for till training; for managers it’s saved time and enabled them to learn from each other’s data; and for customers it’s opened up more methods of payment and removed the £3 minimum spend on cards.’
Kudos was carefully chosen by St Oswald’s because of its innovative EPOS system and its team’s friendly and positive ‘can do’ attitude. The implementation was smooth and efficient, even during a pandemic and St Oswald’s felt safe, reassured, and listened to by the supportive Kudos team.
